Hybrid Closing for Mortgages and HELOC

What is a hybrid closing?

A hybrid closing means you'll review and sign most of your closing documents electronically, either before or on your closing day. It's fewer paper stacks, fewer delays, and a smoother process from beginning to end.

How It Works

  • We prepare your closing documents digitally and send you a secure link
  • You review the documents on your computer, tablet, or smart device, whenever it works for you
  • You electronically sign the sections eligible for eSignatures.
  • On closing day, you meet with the closing team in-person to finalize and notarize any remaining documents.
  • Once everything is complete, your closing is done.

Benefits

  • You'll spend less time at the branch and more time on your schedule
  • Digital documents reduce the change of errors or missing pages
  • You can preview everything ahead of time and ask questions before signing
  • You'll have one central place for communication, so you can ask questions and stay updated without juggling calls, email, or texts.
  • The process puts you in control, with flexibility that fits your life

Eligibility

  • Hybrid closing is available for all new mortgage loans, second mortgage, and HELOCs
  • All notarized documents must be signed in person
  • You'll need a stable internet connection and a device such as a computer, tablet, or smart phone to review and sign your documents

Remote Online Notarization (RON) for HELOCs

What is RON?

If you're closing on a HELOC, Remote Online Notarization (RON) lets you complete the notarization step entirely online. That means no trips to a notary's office, just a secure online video session you can join from home.

How It Works

  • Once your HELOC documents are ready, we schedule a secure online notarization session
  • You join the session using a computer, table, or smartphone with a camera and microphone
  • You show your government-issued ID and complete the required identity verification
  • You either sign electronically or print, sign, and upload the documents while the notary observes and applies the digital seal
  • Your documents are securely submitted and stored, and your closing is complete

Benefits

  • No travel required, complete your notarization from anywhere
  • Faster scheduling and less disruption to your day
  • Fully secure and compliant, with ID checks, audit trails, video recording, and digital stamps
  • You'll have one central place for communication, so you can ask questions and stay updated without juggling calls, email, or texts.
  • A simpler process with fewer steps and more flexibility

Eligibility

  • RON is available only for HELOC closings
  • You'll need a device with a camera, microphone, and a stable internet connection for your online session
  • A government-issued ID and a U.S. phone number are required
  • Some documents may still require an in-person signature or additional verification
